Sunday, 1 Sep 2019: Arrive Bozeman; Welcome Dinner (D)
Schedule your arrival into Bozeman's Yellowstone Airport no later than 4:00 pm. Make your way to the hotel, check in and relax a bit before we get together at 6:00pm. After we make introductions, we will get better acquainted at our Welcome Dinner. Overnight Bozeman - 1 night
Monday, 2 Sep 2019: Drive to Yellowstone; Mammoth Hot Springs (B,L)
This morning we embark on our Yellowstone adventure as we make our way south to the Wyoming border and enter into America's first national park. Our destination this morning is Mammoth Hot Springs, one of Yellowstone’s most unique and fascinating areas. We will walk the Lower Terrace Trail as it is one of the best ways to see this area. After exploring Mammoth, we'll continue driving through the park to West Yellowstone, our home base for the next few nights. As the day allows, your Tour Leader may add in additional stops at her discretion. Overnight West Yellowstone - 3 nights
Tuesday, 3 Sep 2019: Old Faithful; Grand Prismatic Spring; Group Dinner (B,D)
We begin today with a visit to Yellowstone's Old Faithful complex to see the famous geyser let off some steam, walk along the boardwalks that wind around mud pots, steam vents and other geothermal wonders. We will also stop at Grand Prismatic Spring, the third largest hot spring in the world, to view its rainbow of colors. As the day allows, your Tour Leader may add in additional stops at her discretion.
Wednesday, 4 Sep 2019: Yellowstone's Canyon Village (B,L)
We'll spend our day in the Canyon Village area of Yellowstone to see one of the park's many marvels, the “Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone" where the Yellowstone River has carved out a multi-hued canyon, complete with spectacular waterfalls! We'll spend time seeing the upper and lower falls from several vantage points. (Note: Some overlooks may be closed due to ongoing reconstruction efforts.) We'll also drive through the Hayden Valley in search of the bison herd that roams this area. We return to West Yellowstone later this afternoon.
Thursday, 5 Sep 2019: Grand Teton National Park & Teton Village (B)
Today we make our way to Grand Teton National Park, another of Wyoming's stunning destinations. Keep your eyes peeled for bison, elk, moose, bear and bighorn sheep. We will stop at Teton Village and ride the aerial tram up 4,139 feet for the most spectacular 360-degree views of the Tetons and the Jackson Hole valley. Enjoy the time at the top for photos or perhaps hike the easy Top of the World trail for additional views. We'll arrive in Jackson in early afternoon. Overnight Jackson - 2 nights
Friday, 6 Sep 2019: Snake River Float Trip; Free Time; Farewell Dinner (B,D)
Today we take to the water with a float trip down the Snake River. This will be a calm and leisurely float with no need to feel anxious about getting wet or ending up in the water. Keep your eyes open for wildlife as we glide past pristine, virgin land. We return to Jackson to enjoy some free time before our Farewell Dinner. The heart of Jackson is the Town Square with a park at its center. Each corner of the park is framed by a tall antler arch, made with elk antlers gathered from the National Elk Refuge just north of town,
Saturday, 7 Sep 2019: Return Home from Jackson, WY (B)
Sadly, our time together has come to an end. Based on the departure time you provide WTT, your Tour Leader will organize travelers into small groups so you can ride-share to the airport if you wish.
