Monday, 11 Jun 2018: Arrive Prague; Welcome Dinner (D)
Schedule arrival to Prague, Czech Republic no later than 2:00pm. Group transfers, based on arrival flight times are provided from the airport to the hotel. We will get together at 5:30pm in the hotel lobby for our Welcome Meeting then depart for dinner together to get better acquainted. Overnight Prague - 4 nights
Tuesday, 12 Jun 2018: Walking Tour of Prague; Free Afternoon (B)
A half-day guided city tour will help us discover more than a thousand years of Czech history and see why they call this the city of a hundred spires. We'll visit the amazing St. Vitus' Cathedral, set inside 1000-year old Prague Castle. We'll cross the river to explore the vast cobblestoned expanse of Old Town Square and see the famous mechanized antics of the Astronomical Clock's glockenspiel. This afternoon and evening are free to discover the heart of the city at your own pace. Your Tour Leader will have suggestions for things to see and do.
Wednesday, 13 Jun 2018: Day Trip to Dresden (B,D)
Dresden has a long history as the capital and royal residence for the Electors and Kings of Saxony, who for centuries furnished the city with cultural and artistic splendor. Before WWII, it was one of the most developed cities in all of Europe. The entire city center was destroyed by the British and American bombing near the end of the war. Post-war restoration helped the city become the cultural and economic center of eastern Germany. After our tour, we return to Prague and have dinner together.
Thursday, 14 Jun 2018: Day Trip to Cesky Krumlov; Evening Dinner Cruise (B,D)
We will walk through the cobbled streets and arch-covered footpaths, past colorful town houses and centuries-old inns, cafes and shops of Cesky Krumlov followed by a visit to the State Castle Cesky Krumlov. The tour concentrates on the original Castle interiors from the Renaissance and Baroque periods. The tour starts at the IIIrd Courtyard of the Castle and ends in the beautiful Rococo Masquerade Hall. Our day concludes with an evening dinner cruise where we enjoy spectacular views of Prague.
Friday, 15 Jun 2018: Free Morning; Train to Vienna (B)
Take some time this morning to visit some of your own choices. Later, we will take a train to Vienna and you will have the evening free to explore on your own or try a Viennese restaurant. Overnight Vienna - 3 nights
Saturday, 16 Jun 2018: Free Day in Vienna (B)
Today is a free day in Vienna. There is so much to see and do you won't have any problems with choices. You Tour Leader will assist with suggestions if you prefer.
Sunday, 17 Jun 2018: Full-Day Guided Vienna City Tour (B,L,D)
Today begins with an early morning visit to Schoenbrunn Palace, once the summer residence of the Habsburg family and home of Maria Theresia. After our visit, we will drive the famous Ring Road, the Ringstrasse, to see the numerous grand buildings, such as the MAK, the State Opera House, the magnificent Museum of Fine Arts with its world famous art treasures of the Habsburgs, the Natural History Museum, the cultural district the Museums Quartier, the Hofburg (the former Habsburg winter residence), Parliament, City Hall and Burgtheater. We will stop for lunch together enroute. Tonight we will dine together and take in a concert at one of the most exclusive and splendid buildings of Vienna: the Kursalon.
Monday, 18 Jun 2018: Danube Cruise; Bratislava City Tour; Budapest (B)
Today we cruise up the mighty blue Danube from Vienna and explore the Slovak capital of Bratislava. In Bratislava, we'll tour the highlights, including Bratislava Castle, Grassalkovich Palace, Michael’s Gate and more. We will end our day in Budapest. Overnight Budapest - 3 nights
Tuesday, 19 Jun 2018: Budapest City Tour; Free Afternoon (B)
We'll enjoy a panoramic city tour and look out over the famous river that divides Buda from Pest. Following the tour, the remainder of the afternoon is free for you to shop or explore at your own pace. Perhaps you'll want to visit one of the thermal baths for which the city is known.
Wednesday, 20 Jun 2018: Day Trip to Gödöllö and Equestrian Demonstration (B,L)
Today we visit the Royal Palace of Gödöllö, the largest Baroque palace in Hungary and the second largest surfaced palace after Versailles. The Lazar Equestrian Park is located among the rolling hills, allowing breathtaking views of the Domony Valley where everything is beautiful and serene. We will watch a horse demonstration at the park and enjoy a traditional Hungarian lunch at the lodge before returning to Budapest.
Thursday, 21 Jun 2018: Free Day in Budapest; Farewell Dinner (B,D)
Today is a free day in Budapest. There is so much to see and do you won't have any problems with choices. Your Tour Leader will assist with suggestions if you prefer. This evening we will gather one final time for dinner together.
Friday, 22 Jun 2018: Depart Budapest (B)
Schedule your return flight at your convenience. Transfers will be provided based on your departure flight time.
