“Skogafoss (Iceland) is usually packed with crowds but was relatively quiet when we arrived. Throughout our week in Iceland, I pointed my camera, so often saying, ‘This is the cover shot!’ I don’t think anyone believed me.”

Over the years we have collected a list of useful web sites that assist our travelers in making air reservations, getting a passport, learning about Visa requirements, learning about local customs, and so much more.  If you have a web site you think we should add to our list, let us know via email to:

Travel and Air Information Our favorite site to search for air. You can specify any criteria you can think of to narrow down your flight choices. All airlines are listed except Southwest, AirTran and JetBlue. Go here after you know your airline and type of aircraft. You can look up the best (and worst) seats on the flight before deciding what seat you want.

Passports, Visas, Health and Safety
Passports This is the State Department web page for the issuance and renewal of passports. You can also have your passport issued and renewed at most post offices. Most foreign countries require that your passport still have 6 months before expiring in order to enter their country, so it is wise to renew your passport 9 months to a year before expiration if you have an international trip planned during that time frame.
Visas, Health & Safety
These State Department web pages have detailed information about Visas, health, immunizations, and safety. Women Traveling Together has already researched this information on your behalf and will inform you of any mandatory requirements under the "Special Instructions" for your particular trip.

Travel Insurance
Travel Guard Women Traveling Together sends two insurance brochures with every trip deposit confirmation. Travel Guard is one of the travel insurance companies we recommend.
CSA Travel
CSA Travel is the other travel insurance companies Women Traveling Together recommends, and you will receive their travel brochure with your trip deposit confirmation.
Travel Insurance Comparison
Use this web site if you want to compare the cost and coverage of travel insurance companies. Women Traveling Together does not recommend or have any knowledge of services provided by any travel insurance companies other than Travel Guard and CSA Travel which we recommend and provide insurance brochures for in your trip deposit confirmation package.

Travel Clothing and Accessories
TravelSmith Looking for a few things to add to your wardrobe before you take off on your big trip. Check out the clothing and accessories on TravelSmith.
At the conclusion of every trip the WTT tour leader writes about the sights, people and places the group experienced. The best of these "Favorite Memories" are then published and/or posted along with photos taken by the tour leader. If you are wondering what it's like to travel with us, Favorite Memories will give you a feel for the destination and an idea of what it was like to be on the trip.
