A Message from the President of

How WTT Determines the Impact of the Coronavirus on your US or Canada Tour

Date of Last Update:  Monday, April 6, 2020 (Please see your tour for more details)

Background

COVID-19 (coronavirus) was declared a global pandemic by the World Health Organization on 11 March. The President of the United States declared a national emergency shortly thereafter, as did most countries around the world.

Like everyone in the travel industry, WTT has been trying to stay ahead of this crisis by re-scheduling tours due to depart in the coming weeks. It has now become obvious that a longer game plan is necessary.

RE-SCHEDULING:  Tours Departing On or Before 31 May 2020

WTT is actively trying to reschedule all United States and Canada tours originally departing on or before 31 May 2020 – to a new start date of AFTER 1 September 2020 or in 2021.

PLEASE give us the time to do this. It took us 18 months to put all the arrangements for the 2020 tours in place. We can’t possibly reschedule these tours overnight. This will take weeks. We are prioritizing our work based on each trip’s original departure date. As soon as we have more information to share, we will.

For travelers who cancelled or or after 11 March 2020, WTT will invite them to re-join the tour and will reinstate any forfeited monies for those who do.

OPERATING AS PLANNED:  Tour Departing On or After 1 June 2020

Though no one has a crystal ball, most rational people are expecting life--and travel--to return to normal at some point. WTT anticipates there will be little to no impact on travel after this date.

We anticipate the demand for travel to bounce back and still intend to operate all US and Canada tours with a departure date of 1 June 2020 or later. Having said that, if a threshold of travelers cancel from an already-guaranteed tour, WTT will no longer have the minimum number of travelers to run the tour and thus, those tours will no longer be considered guaranteed.

We appreciate your understanding and patience as this unprecedented situation continues to evolve and we encourage you to check this page regularly for any new updates.

Thank you For your Time.
