You might choose to take a walking tour followed by a visit to the O'Keeffe Museum. Late in the afternoon, we will depart for Chama, NM. Overnight Chama - 2 nights
Thursday, 25 May 2017: Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad (L)
Today we ride the original Rio Grande Line over the Rockies aboard the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad, America’s most authentic steam-operated railroad and a proud remnant of the spirit that won the West. Recognizing its significance to our national history, the railroad line was designated a National Historic Landmark in 2012. This leisurely train ride travels through beautiful valleys and among dramatic rock formations. Lunch will be served off the train at the mid-point of the trip. At the conclusion of the train ride we take a motor coach back to Chama.

After dinner, consider an evening of star gazing. This is a perfect place to see the night sky without the interference of light. Overnight Bluff, UT - 1 night
Saturday, 27 May 2017: Monument Valley & Tour; Page, AZ (B)
The red rock desert landscape and towering rock formations of scenic Monument Valley have been the setting for countless movies. This is the land of the Navajo, where spectacular scenery and Native American culture have created a perfect setting for photography. Monument Valley provides perhaps the most enduring and definitive images of the American West. The southeast corner of Utah looks about like it did 300 years ago, which looked like it did 3,000 years ago: vast, wild and sun-baked with deep canyons and towering buttes. After spending time on a tour among the monuments, we continue on to Page, AZ. Overnight Page - 2 nights
Sunday, 28 May 2017: Horseshoe Bend; Antelope Canyon; Lake Powell (B,D)
Horseshoe Bend is a meandering segment of the Colorado River located near the town of Page, Arizona. The view of Horseshoe Bend from the rim of the canyon is extraordinary and best seen early in the morning as the sun rises. Later we visit Antelope Canyon, a testament to the power of water and time. Over the years, flash flooding has created deep, gorgeous passageways—called slot canyons—that you can walk through. The canyons have long been considered spiritual places by the Navajo. We continue on to Lake Powell, the second largest man-made lake in the US and undoubtedly, the most scenic. What makes the lake so memorable is the contrast between the clear blue waters and the surrounding landscape of stark red sandstone with little to no vegetation, the innumerable steep remote side canyons, and the spires, ridges and buttes that once stood high above the Colorado, but now are semi-submerged and appear as small islands.
Monday, 29 May 2017: Drive to Sedona, AZ; Pink Jeep Tour (B)

Upon arrival we'll check into the hotel, then hop into jeeps and venture into the heart of the red rocks. Overnight Sedona - 2 nights
