San Antonio, Texas

February, 2009

San Antonio's old Spanish flavor, multi-cultural heritage and its numerous parks and plazas make it one of America's most picturesque cities, and second only to Las Vegas for conventions. One of the city's premier attractions is the 2.5 mile tree-lined river walk. Our hotel is located at the heart of the river walk and all attractions are equal-distance from the hotel, making it easy to get around and see the sights. As an a la carte tour, you have the option to join the WTT Tour Leader on the itinerary she has planned or to strike out on your own or with other travelers whenever you would like. Women Traveling Together last visited San Antonio in 2006. It's time to go back and enjoy it all over again! Won't you come join us?
(See tentative itinerary below)

We are currently in the process of planning this trip.
Once we have all the activities, hotels and other details confirmed,
and the price finalized, we will remove this information and post
a completed itinerary with the price.

If you are interested in learning more about this trip,
make a pre-reservation.
It is very important to make a no-obligation pre-reservation.
Those who have made a pre-reservation will be notified first
when the full itinerary and pricing is posted.

 Make a Pre-Reservation

A pre-reservation does not require any money.
Once the tour is finalized and a tour price available, those who have pre-reserved
a space will be contacted via email and asked to decide if they
want to make a deposit. If you are not interested, you don't have to do anything.

Tentative Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive San Antonio and meet group. Optional boat tour.
The tour will begin at 2:00pm in the lobby of the hotel. After introductions, those interested can join the WTT tour leader on a boat tour on the San Antonio River to acquaint you with the famous River Walk. There will be time to explore before dinner tonight. The WTT tour leader will suggest a local restaurant.

Day 2: Texas Trolley Tour to see the sights.
Today experience San Antonio's rich history via the Texas Trolley Tour, which allows you to visit the sites at your leisure. The trolley stops at locations such as the Alamo, HemisFair Park, Market Square, and more. The trolley is a full day's adventure, but you can return to the hotel or do other activities as you wish. (B)

Day 3: Enjoy the River Walk or see more of the sights.
Enjoy a full day on the River Walk with its unique crafts, art galleries, clothing shops and boutiques. Another option for today is the San Antonio Zoological Gardens and Aquarium, the Botanical Gardens, or one of the local museums.  For those who wish, join the WTT tour leader for dinner tonight at a local restaurant and share your finds in San Antonio! (B)

Day 4: Return home.
You have as much of today as you would like to enjoy more of what San Antonio offers. Sleep in late or take a stroll along the river before departing for the airport at your convenience. (B)
