Saturday, 15 February: Arrive St George's, Grenada
Arrive into St. George's Grenada (airport code GND) at your convenience. Transfer to the hotel provided. Relax and enjoy the beach. We will have travelers arriving throughout the day and into the evening, so no activities are planned.
Sunday, 16 February: Sightseeing island tour; Transfer to Ship; (B,D)
This morning relax and enjoy the hotel and beach. We will take an island tour before boarding the ship in the late afternoon.
Grenada is known as the “Island of Spice” because of the abundance of locally grown spices, Grenada is one of the world’s largest exporters of nutmeg. The island has amazing waterfalls, exceptional views, gorgeous beaches and opportunities for water sports and diving.
Monday, 17 February: Carriacou (B,L,D)
This morning take advantage of a walk into St. George's or one of the offered shore excursions. We will set sail just after lunch today on our way to wherever the Captain decides. The islands we will visit are listed in the itinerary, but the winds will dictate the direction we travel, and in what order we will see the islands. This is a "no worries man" type of an adventure where your only job is to enjoy the beauty of the sights, soak up the sun and do whatever you please.
Carriacou is one of the largest islands in the Grenadines; the island is 13 square miles where residents livelihood revolves around fishing and boat building. The main town and port of Hillsborough welcomes you with local shops and dining. Coral reefs surround the island, providing more great opportunities for snorkeling or soak up the sun on the beautiful sandy beaches. Enjoy an optional island tour to see spectacular views and local sail boat building, where locally made sail boats are still hand made one at a time.
Tuesday, 18 February: Union Island and Mayreau (B,L,D)
On the western side of Union Island, is a magnificent bay with a long beautiful beach, backed by steep dramatic hills. A great spot for snorkeling, relaxing on the beach and soaking in the beauty of your surroundings. You can find beach bars that are operated by locals and enjoy a picturesque afternoon.
Mayreau is the smallest inhabited island of the Grenadines, with a population of about 250. With only a handful of roads, venture with us to the only village on the island and experience local bars and restaurants like no other! Or enjoy picture perfect, white sandy beaches, for a wonderfully relaxing day in the crystal clear water.
Wednesday, 19 February: Tobago Cays (B,L,D)
The Tobago Cays are an archipelago consisting of five small, uninhabited islands and make up the Tobago Cays Marine Park. Snorkel with the sea turtles in an established area off the beach in Baradel. Marked by buoys, explore this protected area to view turtles in their natural and magical habitat. Enjoy postcard worthy, picture perfect beaches with leaning palms and white sand between your toes. Treat your eyes to views of every color blue in the Caribbean sea that you can imagine!
Thursday, 20 February: Bequia (B,L,D)
Known as the “Island of the Clouds”, Bequia has a charm that has you feeling like home from the moment you arrive. Stunning sandy beaches, lush hillsides and breath taking views will have you unwinding by the minute.
Enjoy an optional island tour that will take you through local villages and views of the Caribbean blue seas. Top off your optional tour by visiting The Old Hegg Turtle Sanctuary, founded in 1995 by Bequian Orton King to assist in the conservation of the endangered Hawksbill turtle. View the turtles at all stages of life, from hatchlings to adult.
Friday, 21 February - St. Vincent, Grenadine Islands (B,L,D)
St. Vincent glimmers like an emerald in the sea. An optional boat ride along the coast is the best way to appreciate the island’s volcanic origins; and visit the Falls of Baleine, a breath taking waterfall that spills from a mass of foliage into a rockbound pool. Kingstown, the capital, is an 18th century town worth exploring. Beachcombers will find beautiful black sand on the leeward side, proof of the island’s volcanic birth. Its botanical gardens are the oldest in the hemisphere. We return to St. George tonight.
Saturday, 22 February: Return Home from Grenada (B)
Sadly, we have to say goodbye. Schedule your departure no earlier than 8:00am. Transfers to the airport are included.
